some new green items and better looking armor.
a new plot about as boring as the last one. ritualist spirit spamming's kinda big. assassins are non existant except in pve. golds drop more often. there's the whole faction and alliance thing, but who cares? oh, and titles for grinding pve and pvp. |

Too much to mention in one simple post. I suggest reading up on the different threads here and try to get a feel for whats going on.
If you like PvP, there are several new editions in Factions you may or may not enjoy. Alliance Battles, Fort Aspenwood, and the Jade quarry may entertain you. There are new weapons, skills, Elite skills and greens you may want. And you can always try out the new Ritualist and Assassin, although Assassins are having a rough go at getting into groups now days. I have had Factions since release day and I find plenty of things to do to keep me busy so far. |

Factions is a decent buy if you enjoyed the first game. The zones are a lot more condensed and a lot prettier (if you ask me). More baddies in each place and golds do tend to drop more often. Alliance's are fun since it expands your potential partners to more than just your guild. As the others have posted, theres a bit too much new stuff to describe in one post. Best bet is to read around the non-whining posts to get an idea of how the game plays. Oh and Ritualists FTW.

If you buy a fractions acount and want to link you have to find out about it or Guildwars will really screw you. They don't explain things well I didn't even know you could link accounts. I got one and played and wondered where these people kept getting the prophecies armor from. Well they told me I could link up but my old account would be lost forever.
I thought I was getting a new account number didn't know I'd have only one account with six players an old prophecies account. Under the some address I was able to open up another account one they hadn't close yet and get this I stored over 130 dyes I had been saving for a year near 30k and all sorts of green/gold weapons. Then after a few days it was gone. They said I had to purchase another account to activate that old one they wouldn't do if for me so I blew another fifty bucks just to get my goods out. I did so deleted all the characters and then asked them if I could link that account also. They said sorry Charlie. What jerks. Guild Wars is boring but I play it like solitair to pass the time. I don't care what they come out in the future they will never get another cent out of me PlayNC can bite me. So be careful they would life a finger to help you infact I think they under explain things to set you up. Wanted my money back or have that account linked they won't even respond to my emails. They are sorry |

You could, you know, try to find out for your self. For Game updates, read the Game and Dev Tracker forum. For opinions, try the Riverside forum. There are plenty of very long threads around with opinions about factions. As always, we discourage people from asking questions that they could have had answered, had they looked around for a couple minutes. Closed.
